Emory Clark-Holder Clinic offers a Travel Clinic for those traveling to a foreign country. Warren J. Henderson, MD and Tracy Flory, APRN provide patient care for the Travel Clinic.
Services include: Immunizations required for travel, computerized printout of medical information on the specific country to be visited, and discussion of current medical risk factors in the foreign country. Emory Clark-Holder Clinic is one of the only facilities in the area approved to give the yellow fever vaccine.
This service is ideal for those individuals traveling out of the country for the first time or going to exotic locations. Also, this service is valuable to groups going out of the country for mission trips.
Of particular value to international travelers is the ability to obtain information on the local community they're traveling to; where to get help there if necessary; and the current medical conditions of concern in the area.
The Travel Clinic offers services usually only
available in larger cities.
